CTR WV Youth: Greater Than Teen Retreat
Each year in October, over 35 teens from Christ the Redeemer Parish gather at a camp for a 3-day retreat. As Youth Program Coordinator I was responsible for planning the retreat (with the help of my volunteer team) from schedule and logistics to promotion and registration.
Promotion
The main platform through which we reach our audience (teens) is Instagram. We promote heavily on Instagram for months leading up to the event; our "save the date" post went up in June and posts continued through the summer to get people excited for registration in the fall!
We also promoted the retreat through our email list, handing out postcards after church services, and displaying posters at the local high school.

Planning
After months of planning with my volunteer team of 12 leaders, I produced a schedule walking through the entire weekend from start to finish including responsibilities, locations of certain sessions, and to-do list items.
Execution
The retreat was a great success thanks to our incredible leadership team, helpful camp staff, and all the preparation we had done. The participant experience was both emotional and immersive thanks to the visual assets we created, including name tags with the schedule on them, participant booklets, beautiful slides, and an inspiring room setup.
